Parent Advocacy Group to host Guest Speaker in Scotia

Scotia-Glenville Parents Advocating for Challenging Education will be hosting a forum on November 10 at 7 p.m. in the library at Sacandaga Elementary School,300 Wren St.,Scotia.

The group will host speaker Pat Schuler, a nationally recognized speaker in the area of gifted education. Ms. Schuler will discuss the topic of the "format for understanding gifted children." Based on her experience as a classroom teacher, gifted and talented teacher, and now therapist, she will share strategies and techniques that teachers, parents, and counselors can use to better understand and serve gifted children.

For children of those attending the forum, there will be a presentation called "Chemistry for Kids" with John Fisher in the cafeteria. He will be demonstrating phase changes between gasses, liquids and solids. There will be hands-on activities for the kids to try as well!
