Guilderland Players' fall production, 'Ken Ludwig's 'Moon Over Buffalo.'

Spotlight Newsroom 11/05/09More articles
The Guilderland Players are set to present "Ken Ludwig's 'Moon Over Buffalo'" from Thursday, Nov. 5 to Saturday, Nov. 7.

All performances will be held in the Guilderland High School Auditorium. Tickets are $5 and available at the door (general admission).

"Moon Over Buffalo is a raucous farce about a dysfunctional theater troupe performing at the Erlander Theatre in Buffalo, New York, in 1953. Leads George and Charlotte Hay have unwillingly come to the twilight of their theatrical careers. Currently the company is performing "Cyrano de Bergerac" and "Private Lives" in repertory. After learning that the famous Hollywood director, Frank Capra, is coming to give George one final shot at stardom, miscommunication ensues and the hilarity begins. Unfortunately for George and Charlotte, everything that could go wrong does go wrong, abetted by a visit from their daughter’s clueless fiancé and uproarious uncertainty about which play they’re actually performing, caused by Charlotte’s deaf old stage-manager mother who hates every bone in George’s body," according to the distrcit's Web site.

Performances dates and times for "Moon Over Buffalo" are as follows:
Thursday, November 5 at 7 p.m.
Friday, November 6 at 7 p.m.
Saturday, November 7 at 7 p.m.

Produced through special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc, NY, NY.
