Schenectady County holds vaccination clinic

Sean Ahern 11/13/09More articles
Schenectady County will hold another H1N1 vaccination clinic for children from 6 months to pre-k and pregnant women on Nov. 20 by appointment. This clinic is open to Schenectady County residents only.

The county has additional vaccinations available for high risk groups including young children and pregnant women. All vaccinations will be done by appointment by calling 386-2824 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Operators will give parents more info after calling for the appointment.

Schenectady County has already provided over 2,000 doses to at risk groups. While they only have a certain amount of vaccines available, are more than willing to help vaccinate those who have a high-risk potential of catching the virus. Children from six months to pre-kindergarten age need two doses of the vaccination while pregnant women who recieve the vaccination will also inoculate their unborn children.

For more information, visit the county's flu information page at www.schenetadycounty.com.
