Obituaries 10/31/09 Hynds, Frances A. DELMAR – Frances A. Hynds, 87, died unexpectedly on Saturday, October 31, 2009. Born in the town of Colonie on March 27, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Hiram (Frank) Austin, Jr. and Nellie May Burns Austin and sister of the late Elizabeth Manso. She had been employed at the NYS Dept. of Tax and Finance, Corporate Tax Office before retiring in May of 1977. Mrs. Hynds had been a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Delmar. She had been a volunteer at the American Legion, Blanchard Post 1040, enjoyed rollerskating and golf and always kept excitement in her life. Frances was the happiest when on an adventure with her husband of 67 years, Given S. Hynds. In addition to her husband, Frances is survived by a nephew, Gary Austin Manso, a grandnephew, Austin Manso and a grandniece, Meredith Manso. Service were held at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar.
