On Saturday, October 1, 2011, the world lost a very special, beloved young man. Nicholas R. Kidalowski (Nick), 23, passed away suddenly at his home in Albany. He was born June 3, 1988, and was a lifelong area resident. He attended Bethlehem Central High School, during which he enjoyed spending time with his friends, taking care of his beloved pets, and learning to play the bass guitar. He was currently enrolled in, and on the Dean’s List at Hudson Valley Community College, and was very interested in the field of nanotechnology.
Nick was employed by Hannaford Supermarket in Delmar, NY, as the assistant seafood manager, and most recently in East Greenbush, NY, where he had just received a promotion to meat cutter. Nick’s family, friends, and coworkers will miss his infectious smile, witty sense of humor, but most importantly his kind and caring heart.
Nick is survived by his loving and devoted mother, Laurel Kidalowski of Albany and her partner Sam Cipriano; his loving father, Raymond (Linda) Kidalowski of Niskayuna; and his older brother Stefan (Katie) Kidalowski of East Greenbush. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins, step-sisters, and numerous close friends, whom he loved dearly. He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Ralph and Mildred Keppler; paternal grandparents, Raymond and Mary Kidalowski; his aunt Karen Schenkman; and his uncle Fred Keppler, who will watch over him and hold him close as he is welcomed into Heaven.
Services will be held on Wednesday, October 5th at 8 PM at the New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY 12205. Friends may call at the Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
