    THE FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR
    * VERMONT AND NORTHERN NEW YORK.
    * THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING
    * MINOR FLOODING REMAINS POSSIBLE ON AREAS RIVERS AND IN POOR
    DRAINAGE AREAS AS RUNOFF FROM RAINFALL AND SNOWMELT CAUSES WATER
    LEVELS TO RISE. RIVERS HAVE BEEN ON THE RISE OVERNIGHT IN
    RESPONSE TO SNOWMELT AND YESTERDAY/S RAINFALL... AND WILL CREST
    DURING CHRISTMAS DAY. MINOR FLOODING IS POSSIBLE AREAWIDE...
    BUT THE AUSABLE RIVER IN NEW YORK AND OTTER CREEK AND WINOOSKI
    RIVER IN VERMONT ARE THE MOST LIKELY TO REACH FLOOD STAGE.
    * RIVERS EXCEEDING BANKFULL WILL LEAD TO WATER OVER ROADS ALONG
    WITH FIELD FLOODING. IN ADDITION...DRAINAGE AREAS COULD BECOME
    CLOGGED DUE TO THE RAIN AND SNOWMELT WHICH WILL ALSO HAVE THE
    POTENTIAL TO CAUSE FLOODING AND STANDING WATER ON ROADS.
