Friday's Shaker-Colonie boys basketball game at Colonie Central High School is serving as a fundraiser for the Coaches vs. Cancer Foundation, and the Colonie Youth Basketball Club is helping out at halftime.
Members of the fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade teams will be participating in a "cancer blitz." The boys will have 93 seconds to run through the crowd and collect as much money as they can. All of the collected money will be donated to the Coaches vs. Cancer Foundation.
Those participating in the "cancer blitz" are asked to wear their CYBC jerseys and give their names at the door.
