[UPDATED 10/1] Sch'dy County debates exceeding tax cap
The Schenectady County Legislature on Friday, Sept. 28, held a public hearing on the proposal to override the state imposed tax cap. County officials said the legislature could increase the property tax levy by 2.95 percent and remain within the tax cap.
Crosswalk upgrade in downtown Schenectady

Free electronic recycling to be offered
The Chamber of Schenectady County and county officials are partnering with Colt Recycling to offer the free service for county businesses and residents. The event will be held on Friday, Sept. 14, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Colt Refining and Recycling, which is located in the Glenville Technology Park off Route 5.
