City of Rensselaer "No matter how #Rensselaer changes, we still try to keep it as a family the way we knew it growing up. When something happens to one of us – it happens to all of us. We don’t sit back and watch it happen; we give back as a community because we are go-getters. We are a family."

"People always say that I didn't give up my seat because I was tired, but that isn't true. I was not tired physically... No, the only tired I was, was tired of giving in." -Rosa Parks #BlackHistoryMonthContrary to popular belief, Rosa Parks wasn’t too tired. She wasn’t incapable of leaving her seat when bus driver James Blake demanded her to do so. She was properly seated in the colored section, but because the white section was full, Blake attempted to move Parks back to accommodate the white patron.
Parks, the mother of the civil rights movement, made the decision to remain in her seat on a Montgomery, Alabama bus on Dec 1, 1955 because she didn’t believe she should have to move because of her race, even though that was the law. This impactful action kicked off the civil rights movement in the United States, emerging boycotts from within the black community and ultimately led to an unconstitutional ruling on bus segregation in the United States Supreme Court. Parks went on to be recognized internationally as a change maker in the battle of racial segregation and social injustice. #changemaker #blackhistorymonth ... See MoreSee Less

The Capital District Transportation Authority is considering making its newest bus rapid transit route, the so-called River Corridor connecting Waterford and Troy with Watervliet, Menands ...
Me as a daily rider deeply appreciated CDTA. Despite challenging traffic, the bus drivers are doing an awesome job.
My dad was a bus mechanic for many years at an area school district. I know what it means to keep these buses running in this cold weather. I sometimes think of those folks at CDTA who are out there in the dark freezing cold getting my bus started so that I can make it to work on time. Thank you!🙌🏻
Why does your Sat bus routes suck so bad? The 1st 22 bus is always late to Albany then we have to wait in the freezing cold for almost a half hour for the next 1 Central Ave to show up
