`Moon Over Buffalo is a raucous farce about a dysfunctional theater troupe performing at the Erlander Theatre in Buffalo, New York, in 1953. Leads George and Charlotte Hay have unwillingly come to the twilight of their theatrical careers. Currently the company is performing `Cyrano de Bergerac` and `Private Lives` in repertory. After learning that the famous Hollywood director, Frank Capra, is coming to give George one final shot at stardom, miscommunication ensues and the hilarity begins. Unfortunately for George and Charlotte, everything that could go wrong does go wrong, abetted by a visit from their daughter’s clueless fiancE and uproarious uncertainty about which play they’re actually performing, caused by Charlotte’s deaf old stage-manager mother who hates every bone in George’s body,` according to the distrcit’s Web site.
