Race for Bethlehem supervisor still awaits absentee results
An audit of electronic voting machines conducted on Tuesday, Nov. 10, used in the election for Town of Bethlehem supervisor came back without discrepancies, according to the Albany County Board of Elections.
Unofficial results show Republican-backed Independent Sam Messina leading Democrat incumbent Jack Cunningham by 115 votes, 4,636 to 4,521.
The race will still come down to absentee ballots that are scheduled to be opened Thursday, Nov. 12, at the Board of Elections offices. 468 were mailed out, and 182 had been returned as of last count.
