Wednesday will be a busy day for Bethlehem Central High School sports fans.
Both the girls soccer and volleyball teams will try to defend their Section II Class AA titles against representatives from Shenendehowa. The girls soccer game starts at 6:30 p.m. at Stillwater High School, while the girls volleyball final takes place around the same time at Queensbury High School.
The Bethlehem girls volleyball team enters Wednesday’s match against Shen with a 17-1 record that in-cludes a 3-2 victory over the Plainsmen earlier this season.
Shen is going to be a very tough match, said Bethlehem coach Lisa Kniffen. `All five games we played them were very close. I don’t think there was more than a four-point margin in any of those games.`
Bethlehem’s girls soccer team enters its championship game with an equally impressive 17-1 record. The Lady Eagles defeated Shen 1-0 in their only regular season meeting Oct. 1.
The winners of Wednesday’s Sectional finals advance to this weekend’s regional contests.“
