The Town of Bethlehem will be holding a Community Health Fair on Friday, Nov. 13, at Town Hall on Delaware Avenue that will include a flu shot clinic.
Flu shots to be administered by Maxim Health Services will be for the seasonal flu, not H1N1. Walk-in registration is available on the day of the event, and the shot is covered by many insurance plans. For the uninsured, the cost of the shot is $30.
While the event runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., flu shots will be given until 3 p.m. or until supplies run out.
Also on Friday, the Bellevue Women’s Hospital Mobile Mammography Coach will be on hand. Walk-ins will not be accepted for this serviceto schedule an appointment or for more information, call 888-423-3366.
St. Peter’s Health Care Services will also be available to provide cholesterol, glucose and pulmonary function screenings, body fat measurements and osteoporosis screening. These services are free for those 60 and older. A fee applies for those under 60.
The event is sponsored by Bethlehem Senior Project, Inc., Bethlehem Senior Services and is supported by a grant from the Alban County Department for Aging.
