The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Little League is hosting the New York state 10-year-old division tournament at Indian Meadows.
The tournament begins Thursday and lasts through Tuesday, July 26. Games start at 6 and 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 3 and 5:30 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.
On Saturday, there will be a welcome barbecue for all the teams, as well as a skills competition and a home run hitting contest. Head coach Paul DeLuca and members of the state Class A champion Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School baseball team will be on hand to help with the skills competition.
The host BH-BL All-Stars recently won the Region 3 championship by beating Kingston 14-1 Sunday. John Wyatt, Kerry Stewart and Glenn Ramos led BH-BL in the regional tournament.
Volunteers are needed to help with field maintenance, the concession stand and more. There will be a meeting tonight (Wednesday) at 6:30 p.m. at the Indian Meadows pavilion.`
