ALBANY – The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation run, an annual event in Albany held to raise money to build specially adapted smart homes for injured vets, was held on Sept. 17.
The run is named after a 34-year-old New York City firefighter with Rescue 1 in Brooklyn, a father of five who lost his life on Sept. 11, 2001.
The foundation has built or is in the process of building 66 homes across the country.
In Albany, the run was held at the 44-floor Corning Tower.
The first place winner is Alex Wortman with a time of 4:40, the first place women is Angela Kolewe with a time of 8:17, the first place firefighter who ran in full gear is Albany Firefighter Josh Gregg.
