COHOES — The Music Hall Arts Alliance, led by Holly Brown, formerly the executive director of the Palace Theatre, announced series of new shows for the first time since taking over mangement of the Cohoes Music Hall at the start of the year.
“I am pleased to announce some great additions to our schedule, with more to come, said Brown. “I am also grateful to the Mayor, City Council and Cohoes Economic Development Department for their commitment and continued support of our work at the Music Hall, and for realizing the importance of this historic theatre. That commitment can be seen in many areas, but most recently in the beautiful improvements to the Remsen Street sidewalks and streetscapes,” Brown stated. “Through this partnership we will continue to grow and broaden our programs at this unique venue, and I’m looking forward to what the future holds,” she continued.

Comedian Nick Di Paolo ‘The Nick is Right Tour’ – Saturday, March 24, presented by The Comedy Works.
Di Paolo has performed on The Tonight Show, Late Night with David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and Conan O’ Brien. He was twice nominated for an Emmy for his writing on HBO’s The Chris Rock Show. He has also had three half hour standup specials on Comedy Central, a Showtime Special “Raw Nerve”, a self released special “Another Senseless Killing” and most recently “Inflammatory.”

Guitar prodigy Quinn Sullivan – Wednesday, April 18.
At 18, Sullivan has already had a decade-long career. He has shared the stage with many of his heroes including Buddy Guy, Carlos Santana, and Joe Bonamassa, as well as BB King, Billy Gibbons, and Los Lobos. He has performed on concert and festival dates throughout the United States, Canada , Europe, as well as Asia and South America – including at storied venues like The Hollywood Bowl, RFK Stadium and Madison Square Garden. He’s also appeared on national TV, with guest appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Oprah, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Conan and twice on The Ellen DeGeneres show. His third studio album, Midnight Highway, was released last year and produced by multi Grammy Award-winner Tom Hambridge. Tickets cost $25 in advance, $35 on the day of the show.
Comedian Rory Albanese, producer of The Daily Show – Friday, April 20, presented by The Comedy Works
Albanese is a national headlining stand-up comedian and a nine-time Emmy Award-winning writer. He has been Executive Producer of the Daily Show, opened for Lewis Black, starred in his own Comedy Central Presents half hour special and has been featured on John Oliver’s New York Comedy Show on Comedy Central. He has toured with John Oliver, John Hodgman, Rob Riggle and Al Madrigal and traveled with John Oliver and other Daily Show comedians to Afghanistan for a USO tour to entertain American troops.

Project/Object – The Music of Frank Zappa featuring Original Members Napoleon Murphy Brock and Denny Walley – Sunday, April 22.
Project/Object is the longest continually touring alumni-based Zappa tribute band in the world.
For nearly twenty five years they have toured and performed Zappa music with more of his bandmates than anyone other than Zappa himself.

Brubeck Brothers Quartet – Sunday, June 24.
This exciting jazz group features two members of one of America’s most accomplished musical families, Dan Brubeck (drums,) and Chris Brubeck (bass and trombone). Guitarist Mike DeMicco and pianist Chuck Lamb complete this dynamic quartet. While their style is rooted in “straight-ahead” jazz, their concerts reveal an inherent ability to naturally integrate the influences of funk, blues and world music. The group’s creativity, technique and improvisation can be heard in their uncompromising music, which reflects their dedication to melody, rhythm, culture and the spontaneous spirit of jazz.

Rumours’ dedication to recreating the Fleetwood Mac experience has skyrocketed their popularity, garnering a loyal fan base.
