TROY – Thirty-five teams from away as Brazil spent six weeks designing and building robots to complete a number of tasks faster and better than anyone else.
Included in those 35 teams competing in the FIRST Robotics Competition hosted in New York’s Tech Valley at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute are high school teams from Colonie, Shaker and Voorheesville. Other teams are from Ballston Spa, Shenendehowa, Albany and Troy.
The photos below are from the practice matches on Thursday, March 15, when the teams got a feel for the terrain and made necessary adjustments to their machines.
Competitions take place on Friday, March 16 and Saturday, March 17.
