CLIFTON PARK – The Shaker girls lacrosse season came to an end on Thursday, May 17, at the hands of Shen by a score of 18-10.
The No. 5 seed Bison played the No. 4 seed even in the first half, 4-4, and then scored four unanswered to start the second half of the Class A quarter finals.
But, Shen stepped it up on both ends of the field and went on a 14-1 run before Shaker was able to find the back of the net with 44 seconds remaining.
Cait Wood and Katie Julien had three goals each for Shaker while Lila Alison and Kayleigh Papa each had two goals.
Jenna Graf had five goals while McKenzie Ballard, Kara Gray and Julia Shanahan had three each to lead Shen.
Shen will now play Saratoga in the Class A semi-finals.
