ALBANY — Shaker had four players in double digits on Saturday, Jan. 19, in a Suburban Council win over Guilderland.
The Bison and The Dutch squared off in the ZG Slam North South Classic, along with other schools from the area, at the Washington Avenue Armory, and Shaker got its first conference win of the season by a score of 61-57.
Shaker’s Anthony Clayton led all scorers with 18 while Trey Mariano, Connor McHugh and Sean Seymour had 10 each.
Eric Hartnagle had six and Ray Burt had five and Christian Germaine chipped in two each to round out the scoring for Shaker (1-9, 2-12.)
The Dutch, still looking for their first win of the season, were led by Ryan Teaney with 17 while Billy Lia had 13 and Dylan Gizzi had 10. Pat Bruno had eight points, Anthony Moffre had five and Brendan Gagan and Christian Halayko had two each.
Guilderland (0-11, 0-15) will play at Bethlehem on Tuesday, Jan. 29 and Shaker will host Ballston Spa on Thursday, Jan. 24.
