GUILDERLAND — Bethlehem remains undefeated and The Lady Dutch picked up their first loss after the two Suburban Council rivals squared off on Thursday, Sept. 19.
Guilderland (5-1, 6-1) scored first on a goal by Margo Nezaj with an assist going to Jenna Meier to take a 1-0 lead with 19:59 minutes left in regulation.
With five minutes to go in regulation, Anna Nichols tied it up for Bethlehem (4-0, 5-1) on an assist by Claire Hutton to send the game into OT.
It took about four minutes in the first 10-minute OT period for Maia Dawson to score the game winner for Bethlehem, who along with Shen are the only two undefeated teams in the Suburban Council.
Soso Soka had six saves for Bethlehem while Molly DiCaprio had 13 for Guilderland.
Bethlehem will host Ballston Spa and Guilderland will play at Colonie on Saturday, Sept. 21.
