The Bethlehem Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred at the Delaware Avenue Pioneer Bank on Saturday, May 2. Police said at approximately 9:13 a.m., a call was received reporting the robbery. The suspect allegedly approached the teller and demanded money. After the teller complied with the demand, the suspect fled out the front door with an undetermined amount of cash. The suspect was last seen fleeing on foot towards the rear of the Delaware Plaza. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6 to 6’3” and 225 pounds. He was also described to be in his mid 20s, wearing a grey, black and white polo shirt with a black shirt underneath, blue jeans, black nylon hat and black and white sneakers. No physical injuries were reported. Albany Police K-9 Unit and New York State Police assisted at the scene. The amount taken was not disclosed.
