ELSMERE — Kinderhook Bank has opened a new location in the Delmar community in the hopes of offering expanded services to their clients.
The new services that Kinderhook Bank has to offer include expanded branch hours, drive-thru services, and safe deposit boxes for clients to safely deposit their money. There is a coin counter available to clients free of charge, and a 24/7 drive-up full-function ATM which will dispense multiple note denominations and allow for the deposit of envelope free cash and checks. The ATM will produce smart receipts.
The bank also offers a full line of individual, business-banking and lending services, including commercial loan services, under Frank Trosset, Vice President of Commercial Lending and Brian Garis, Vice President of Residential Mortgage Lending. All of these services are enclosed in 5,000 square feet, giving the new branch the ability to grow.
“As a local community bank, convenient branch locations and services are very important to our customers,” said John A. Balli, Kinderhook Bank’s President and CEO. The need for a personal relationship with their bank, plus the expectation of competitive technology, drives our customers to stay with us.”
Clients can build that relationship much more easily in this new establishment. The new branch boasts a relaxed lobby atmosphere that allows staff to build a one-on-one relationship with clients. As clients wait for service, iPads and Wi-Fi are available for their convenience. Free cookies and refreshments are out for human clients, along with pet treats for four legged friends. The branch even thought of children, building a kid’s play and waiting area that has been stocked with toys, puzzles, and child-friendly books.
Kinderhook Bank Marketing Director Dori McDannold said that this new branch gives the bank room to grow. Their old Delmar branch, which was located in Delaware Plaza, only staffed three people and did not have as much room. Now there are six full-time staff in the branch who are able to build expanded relationships with the clientele.
Among these staffers are Shoham Piorentino, AVP and Branch Manager. Piorentino heads up an experienced team of bankers that include Liz Bukowski, Senior Personal Banker, and Tanyah Simmons and Laura Kennedy, Personal Bankers. This dream team is excited to be back together once again in a strong, local community bank branch. They formally worked together for years in the older branch giving clients spot-on service.
McDannold said that advertising will be expanded. Residents in Delmar will be receiving postcards in their mailboxes. As Kinderhook Bank runs specials, residents will be made aware through newspaper and online advertising.
Established in 1853, Kinderhook Bank has eight current branches in Albany, Chatham, Delmar, East Greenbush, Greenport, Kinderhook, Latham and Valatie. Three additional branches will be opened in Amsterdam, Canajoharie, and Johnstown upon the merger completion with Patriot Federal Bank later in the fall.
