What have you been listening to lately?
There’s a streaming channel on one of the music services that features acoustic indie/roots music. We (my husband/buddy Vince) like that.
What have you been reading?
Just finished a couple of books by Julie Otsuka – “When the Emperor was Devine” and “The Buddha in the Attic” – both about Japanese immigrants between the wars and during the internment.
What is your favorite show on TV?
“Antiques Roadshow” – the British version.
What was the last movie you saw?
“Carol” – we liked Rooney Mara but were disappointed on the whole.
Could you describe what your dream vacation would be?
India with an Indian native, Japan with a Japanese native. However, we are headed to France and are pretty happy about that.
What are some of your hobbies?
Gardening eats up pretty much all of my free time between March and November. Otherwise we like to do outdoors-y things.
What would your last meal be?
If I knew it was my last meal I don’t think I’d be at all interested in eating. Otherwise, there was a sea bass meal in Portugal that I wouldn’t mind repeating.
Who is the one person (dead or alive) that you would most like to meet?
Hmmm…. Susan B. Anthony, Ann Lee, Neal deGrasse Tyson, Frederic Church…. Could be a really long list.
What is your favorite local moment?
The Farmer’s Market gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling. And I used to love the high school concerts.
What is something you think most people would be surprised to learn about you?
I am sometimes the Five Rivers Owl in the town parades.
