Participants should bring their own device(s.) Please register.
What is consent? What is sexual assault? How can you protect yourself? Where do you go for help? Find out at 2 p.m., on Sunday, April 14. A panel of experts will facilitate an interactive presentation for older teens and parents that will emphasize practical, hands-on skills and information to promote safety and independence. For ages 16 and older, parents strongly encouraged to attend as well. Teen attendees will earn Community Service credit. As further incentive to students, participants will be entered into a drawing to receive the cost of their prom ticket refunded! Please register. Stop by the Library for a week full of kids vacation programs, from April 22 thru April 26. Monday is a kids movie matinee; Tuesday is a PJ Masks Superhero Party Family Storytime, and the afternoon offers a tween creativity sewing lab. You won’t want to miss the sheep shearing and wool spinning program on Wednesday, for grades 2 and up. Thursday evening, children can create their own family song, and Friday morning there are bricks, bots, and bits for all ages. Later in the afternoon, tweens and teens can drop in at 1:30 p.m. for a movie and refreshments. Be sure to check our online calendar or stop in to check out all the vacation programs we’ll be offering.
