Grab-n-Go Storytimes
Every other Tuesday in September, we’ll have a storytime kit available for you and your little one(s) for curbside pickup, while supplies last. The next storytime kit will be ready for pickup Tues. Sept. 22 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Each thematic kit will contain suggestions for books, rhymes and songs to share together, plus one or more fun surprise activities. Storytimes are recommended for ages 2-5, and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Cookbook Club
This month, we’re reverting to our previous format: we’ll all cook from the same cookbook. We’ll be using an eBook on our Hoopla digital platform: Indian-ish: Recipes and Antics from a Modern American Family, by Priya Krishna. The New York Times named Indian-ish one of the Best Cookbooks for Spring 2019. This selection is available to download instantly; there are no wait times or holds. Look for the instructions on how to find the title in our events calendar listing and register to participate. Then, choose any recipe, make it at home, and we’ll meet up online Wed. Sept. 23 at 7:00 p.m. to talk about the book and our culinary results.
Good Nutrition Ritual
Question: What is the number-one way to maintain optimal health? Answer: Good nutrition! Sam Kubik, owner of The Ritual 518 Superfood Café in Guilderland, will share her favorite immunity-boosting recipe with us on Thurs. Sept. 24 at 6:00 p.m. Plan to attend our live Zoom session to chat about plant-based recipes and substitutes you can easily incorporate into your daily diet. You’ll leave inspired to fuel your body with more nutrient-dense options.
