VOORHEESVILLE — Maple Hill scored the first four goals of the second quarter and withstood a late rally to defeat Voorheesville 8-7 in a Colonial Council boys lacrosse game Wednesday, April 13.
Voorheesville took a 2-1 lead in the first quarter, but Maple Hill tied the score late in the period before breaking the game open in the second quarter. The Blackbirds struck for four goals in the fourth quarter, but couldn’t get the equalizer.
Liam Danaher and Cole Cioffi each scored three goals and added two assists for Maple Hill. Ben Sherwood contributed two goals and two assists.
Ian Owens tallied four times, and Shawn LedDuke added a pair of goals for Voorheesville.
