BETHLEHEM — The Eagles girls tennis team moved to 8-2 in Suburban Council play after beating Ballston Spa 9-0 on Senior Day.
The win was capped by a come-from-behind win by No. 2 Danielle Huli over Ryann Ashby 6-7(3-7,) 6-4, 11-9.
On the team’s senior night, Friday, Sept. 20,. all eight seniors participated in the starting lineup.
In other matches:
- Letti Donovan defeated Kaia Anderson 6-2, 6-3 in first singles.
- Stephanie Close defeated Gabby Gise 6-4, 6-4 in No. third singles.
- Amanda Koch defeated Lucy Ehmann 6-3, 6-3 in No. fourth singles.
- Kirsten Phang defeated Madison Galvin 6-4, 6-1 in No. fifth singles.
- Emily Begley defeated Hannah Cook 6-3, 6-2 in No. sixth singles.
- Rachel Close and Sarah Anson defeated Sophia Micare and Isabella Kaldy 6-3, 6-4 in first doubles.
- Katie Urner and Taylor Ryan defeated Abby Burke and Alaina Burke 6-1, 6-0 in second doubles.
- Gabrielle Vollaro and Madison Santiago defeated Julia Grasso and Madison Franco 6-1, 6-1 in third doubles.
Bethlehem will host Saratoga on Tuesday, Sept,. 24 and Ballston Spa will play at Averill Park on Thursday, Sept. 26.
