ALBANY — The Egg presents a jazz double bill with the Jack DeJohnette Trio and Indo-Pak Coalition Friday, Dec. 9, at 7:30 p.m. as part of its “Rhythm International” concert series.
Jack DeJohnette, one of the greatest jazz drummers in history, will perform with saxophonist Ravi Coltrane and bassist Matthew Garrison. Synthesizing jazz with South Asian influences, the Indo-Pak Coalition — saxophonist Rudresh Mahanthappa, guitarist Rez Abbasi and percussionist Dan Weiss — opens the concert.
The Indo-Pak Coalition was originally scheduled to perform at The Egg on Sept. 17, but the show was postponed due to a scheduling conflict. This performance serves as the make-up date.
Tickets are $36 and currently available to members of The Egg. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, Sept. 2.
