ALBANY —The 21st Annual Price Chopper/Market 32 Capital Holiday Lights in the Park continues to meander through Washington Park, scheduled to entertain local families until Tuesday, Jan. 2.
With Christmas just days away, the popularity of the electric nightscape is at its peak.
The Washington Park Lake House is open for activities from 6 to 9 p.m. from Sunday through Thursday, and from 6 to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The lake house will be closed Sunday and Monday, Dec. 24 and 25, but the drive through show will remain open.
Admission costs $20 for each vehicle (with a maximum capacity of nine occupants). Price increases for larger vehicles.

Skating at The Plaza
Empire State Plaza — Daily
ALBANY — It’s cold and the Empire State Plaza’s outdoor ice rink is open.
From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., weather permitting, the ice rink is free to the public. Skate rentals range from $3 for children and $4 for adults, and every Friday is Hannaford’s “Free Skate Rental Day.”
A full-service snake bar is open Friday nights and weekends, and a skate lounge with lockers for personal items are all located in the glass pavilion on the Plaza level.
