TROY — It was a perfect night along the Hudson River on Wednesday, July 3, and the crowd and the music followed suit.
Sly Fox and the Hustlers kicked off Rockin’ on the River with a set of high-energy, raw blues and rock they have become known.
And then The Brokenhearted played all of Tom Petty favorites including “Don’t come around here no more,” “Free Fallin’” and, of course, “American Girl.”
In between sets, Rafi Topalian, the Singing Jeweler,” sang “God Bless America” to a packed house in honor of July 4.
The free concert series in Riverfront Park presented by the Troy Downtown Improvement District continues next week with Classic Stones Live — a Rolling Stones tribute band with special guest the Troy Music Academy Allstars. The show starts at 5 p.m.
