BETHLEHEM — Alec Lind scored with 22 seconds left in overtime to give Burnt Hills/Ballston Spa a 3-2 victory over Bethlehem Friday, Dec. 16, in a Capital District High School Hockey League game at the Bethlehem Area YMCA.
Jared DiFiore’s goal midway through the second period gave BH/BS (5-1-0) a 2-1 lead, but Andrew Kopplin tallied on a power play with 1:53 left in the frame to tie the score at 2-2 for Bethlehem (4-3-0). The Eagles dominated the action for much of the third period, but couldn’t get anything past BH/BS goaltender Trevin Tidmarsh.
BH/BS had a couple of chances late in the third period, including a shot that rang off the crossbar with 2 seconds left, before Lind scored on a breakaway late in overtime.
Noah Sinclair added a first-period goal, and Tidmarsh finished with 30 saves for BH/BS. Connor Carroll contributed a goal for Bethlehem, and goaltender Alex Breiner stopped 15 shots.
