COLONIE — Colonie handed Shaker its first loss in a month by beating the Blue Bison 67-50 Friday, Jan. 20, in a Suburban Council boys basketball game.
The Garnet Raiders (9-2 league, 11-3 overall) built a 37-30 halftime lead. The Blue Bison (8-3, 10-3) trimmed the deficit to two points in the third quarter, only to see Colonie pull away with a 16-6 run in the final eight minutes.
Bryce Waterman drained five three-pointers on his way to a 25-point night for Colonie, which is on its own seven-game winning streak. Brendan Mulson contributed 14 points, and Isaiah Moll added 11 points.
Sloan Seymour led Shaker with 22 points, while Jake Cook chipped in with 10 points.
