ALBANY – A 23-year-old Colonie woman will spend the next one to three years in prison for assaulting a 65-year-old in a church.
On June 28, 2017, Cheonne Brace went to the Westminster Church to confront the victim, who she thought called to have her illegally parked car towed from the area.
She found the individual in the vestibule and attempted to drag the person out of the church while beating them. She then fled the scene.
In Jan. 5, Brace pleaded guilty to the felony of attempted assault, said District Attorney David Soares.
Assistant District Attorney Joseph Brucato of the Major Crimes Unit prosecuted in front of Judge William Carter.
