ALBANY – A Green Island teen was sentenced to 10 years in prison for beating a man in 2017.

WEST

On Feb. 5, Skylar West admitted he and six other men “caused serious physical injury” to a person known to them,” while in the Town of Colonie, according to District Attorney David Soares.

As the victim fled, West and the others chased him down and beat him with BB guns and punched and kicked him. He had a fractured nose, orbital bone and spine. He was also stabbed.

West confessed to the crime on Facebook and another person. The other six people have not yet been identified.

At the time of the crime, he was a participant in the Albany County Drug Court. He will serve a consecutive one- to three-year sentence for violating the terms of Drug Court.

Assistant District Attorney Joseph Brucato of the Major Crimes Unit prosecuted in front of Judge Peter Lynch.

Imagine an elevated metro system with solar panels on top of a plexiglass curved roof to power the entire system, contain the noise, and keep snow off the street below.

I could hop on a warm bus if the stops were clear of snow & ice but that usually takes 3 or 4 days

It's not good to put off for today to do it tomorrow
