COLONIE – The proprietor of The Fun Spot in Queensbury wants to build a similar entertainment part on Albany Shaker Road.
The project, as presented to the Planning Board by representatives of Ferraro Entertainment, would combine what is now 2, 4 and 6 Sicker Road and 941 Albany Shaker Road make the 7.2 acres all 941 Albany Shaker Road.
The plan is to build a 25,000-square-foot building, 10,000-square-foot of which would host activities like laser tax, a spin zone, a Ninja Challenge obstacle course, mini bowling and other hands on entertainment/amusement activities.
The rest of the building would have bathrooms, kitchens, café seating, lounges and party rooms.
The plan would also set aside space for an additional 19,450-square-foot building which would be constructed if it is busy enough.
Without the addition, it would require 200 parking spots, or one per 50-square-foot of space.
The land, about a quarter mile past Plug Power on the opposite side of the road, is within the Albany International Airport Area GEIS.
Ferraro Entertainment now owns and operates a similar facility on Route 9 in Queensbury called The Fun Spot.
