GUILDERLAND — The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake girls volleyball team remained undefeated with a 3-0 Suburban Council victory over Guilderland Tuesday, Sept. 13.
The Lady Dutch (2-4) made things difficult for the Lady Spartans (4-0), though. Strong defense on Guilderland’s part kept the scores close in every game, with BH-BL ultimately winning 25-18, 25-18 and 25-21.
Hannah Shell had five kills, five aces and 16 digs for BH-BL, which hasn’t lost a Suburban Council match since 1990. Avery Pollard contributed 26 assists and three aces.
Katelyn McDonough led Guilderland’s defensive effort with 41 digs. Kate Johnston had 27 digs, along with five kills, 10 service points and two aces, while CaraMia Reutter added 20 digs and seven kills.
