SCHENECTADY — Lonestar will rock Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady this Memorial Day weekend. The chart-topping quartet will play the Event Center on Saturday, May 26.
The multi-platinum and award-winning recording country music group has charted more than 20 singles on the Hot Country Songs chart. The band has nine No. 1 hits including “No News,” “Come Cryin’ to Me,” “Amazed,” “Smile,” “What About Now,” “Tell Her,” “I’m Already There,” “M Front Porch Looking In,” and “Mr. Mom.” “Amazed” was the first new country track to top Billboard’s Top 100 chart in nearly 20 years when it did so in March 2000. The last country group to accomplish the genre bending feat was Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton in 1983 with “Islands in the Stream.”
After more than two decades, “Amazed” remains one of the most popular songs for the first dance at weddings. The group – Michael Britt, lead guitar and backing vocals; Richie McDonald, lead vocals and piano; Keech Rainwater, drums; and Dean Sams, keyboards and backing vocals – has been creating and playing music for more than 25 years and loves to perform live for fans across the country.
Tickets to Lonestar start at $25 and are on sale at riverscasinoandresort.com as well as through the Proctors Box Office and tickets.proctors.org. Doors will open at 7p.m., with the show set to begin at 8 p.m.
